Outgoing Philippine Envoy from UAE

ABU DHABI – The outgoing Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, Libran N. Cabactulan, was given a warm farewell on Thursday by the Filipino Community and the St. Joseph Church.
He will depart from the UAE this week to take up his new assignment as president of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Preparatory Committee.

What do you get when you put a Filipino, an Indian, an Australian and a Scotsman together in a music studio or on stage with some musical instruments?
The answer is Borrison Ivy, one of Dubai ’s newest originals rock bands formed in 2008 but one that is quickly gaining a good foothold in the UAE’s music scene.

OFWs have new outlet in ‘Pinoy Talk’ in Dubai

A radio talk show hosted by Filipinos and for Pinoys is a new avenue for OFWs to air their concerns regarding their work in Dubai.
“Mula ng nagkaroon kami ng programa sa Dubai Eye Radio marami na ang tumatawag sa Filipino Press Club na humihingi ng abiso kung ano yung gagawin nila,” Mariecar Jara-Puyod, president of the Filipino Press Club in Dubai.
