Dubai, UAE – Another successful edition of Women of Substance event was seen last 30th of March 2012 at the Godolphin Ballroom in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Organized by Dubai-based Filipino lifestyle publication, Illustrado, the annual event was attended by more than 600 guests comprised of Filipino diplomatic corps, key community and opinion leaders, international and local media, and renowned fashion designers.

This Bagong Bayani Awards are pay tribute to the countries outstanding Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) as the new heroes of our time. To give due recognition to their significant efforts in fostering goodwill among people of the world, enhancing the image of the Filipino as a competent and responsible worker andcontributing to the nation foreign exchange earnings.

Filipino Music Festival in Dubai

Another Filipino Musical events is line up to happen here in Dubai United Arab Emirates and this events titled “Filipino Music Festival”. This musical events will commence at the Zabeel Park Gate 1 and 3 on March 12, 2009.
The performing artist from the Philippines are Charice Pempengco, Kyla along with the band group of Parokya ni Edgar and River Maya.
Performing also on the event are homegrown Filipino talents in the Uae.
It’ an event that will bring the house down.
