Hi,

I’m 10 months old pa lng dito sa Dubai. Came here on a tourist/visit visa last Oct 2010 and eventually got a job. I’m 3 months old in my second employer this month. What are the things I should do for me to be acknowledged as an OFW? For the record, it’s my first time to work abroad so I don’t have any know how about all these stuff.

Hi Sir,
Kumuha ako ng nanny from philippines para sa mga kids ko dito, kinuha ko sya as visit visa then dito ko n nai process ang employment contract, UAE gov is accepting the monthly salary of AED 800 for her labor contract, is this really required to increase her salary at AED1500? this costs too much for me! Now, we are planning to go back to Phil this dec and her contract will expire by January2012 kung saan pag balik namin dito e expire na yung kanyang visa, pwede pb sya makapasook ng bansa? salamat ng marami at naway masagot mo ang aking mga katanungan..

Sa pagkakaalam ko po ang e-mail na nag circulate stating all those requirements is for OFWs coming back from vacation na hindi nakapagprocess ng kanilang OEC dito sa Dubai. Kakauwi ko lang last May, 3 years na ako sa Dubai at first time kong magprocess sa Dubai kasi nabalitaan ko ang haba ng pila, confusion at syempre ang sobrang mahal na bayad para maayos ang OEC sa Manila (common notion naman nila na okay lang gumastos ka ng todo todo kasi mababawi mo naman daw yun pagbalik mo sa abroad). Ang OWWA membership ay good for 2 years tapos ang OEC ay 2 months validity. Kung di ka nakapagprocess ng documents sa Dubai, tsaka ka dapat magproduce ng mga documents na nakasaad sa unang email tapos mag apply ka ng OEC sa POEA. isa lang sa reminder siguro, ay yung verification ng OEC before embarking sa OWWA counter.
