Buhay Pinoy sa Gitnang Silangan ” Life of a Filipino in the Middle East”. This site tells the stories of life and struggle of Juan dela Cruz, aka “Pinoy / OFW “Buhay na bagong bayani”, on the current situation in the Middle East and on the rest of world. The purpose of this is to convey the hardships and triumphs of each Filipino who is struggling in life in the hands of the foreign land.

The author: Servando dela Cruz, aka “Buddy dela Cruz”, a guy who flew to the Middle East to take his chances in uplifting his life and his family. Born in the Philippines in the town of Paombong, Bulacan but grew-up in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija. Finished his studies at Wesleyan University – Philippines, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce. Currently working here in Dubai United Arab Emirates.

Got interested in the field of photography and is currently a member of an all Filipino photographer based in Dubai. This group is LIFPG-Dubai, better known as Lightform International Filipino Photographers Guild – Dubai. And also because of this what I called my second profession my work was recognized and become a member of FPCUAE (Filipino Press Club UAE). Currently I’m one of the regular photo contributor in a Filipino Magazine (Star Studio Magazine Middle East Edition) and a freelance photo contibutor in some local newspaper and magazine here in the UAE.
